Amtrak through Washington State and Oregon. From the train, you get a view of other sidelined trains. It was a long trip. I tried to take photos of graffiti while we were going.

Grouse Mountain
There is a mountain. It is called Grouse Mountain. It is grouse.

People hike up the mountain. They call it The Grind. We took the cable car.

Its actually summer. The snow is not something to be proud of. Someone said it was the last dirty snow clutching to the mountain. But still the only snow I've ever stood on.
I hit it square on and demolished it with my third snowball shot.
The second snowman: I crushed underfoot.
Vancouver Riots
Wednesday, crowds of people gathered in the streets below our hotel room to watch the final ice hockey game which would decide the winner of the Stanley Cup. It looked the same as Game Six. It was played in Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
For no reason - I did not realise maybe why until much later - Boxers was in my head all day.

We went up to Grouse Mountain for dinner. We caught the (last?) Sea Bus back to downtown.

People told us to not go near Hastings because it was the bad part of town. Turns out, in the case of a riot, Hastings is the best place to be. Another Blenz cafe on Granville was looted.
