Aporia is an unsigned Steven Morgana I bought in a 30 x 30 exhibition at art school that now hangs in the hall. The exhibition was a fundraising exercise for the graduation show. The students get a piece of wood and have to make something in a week then flog it off for as much as possible.
The fixing was part of the purchase and holds the 30x30 panel well away from the wall. Sometimes people walk past and try to 'correct' this by pushing the panel up the hook, only to have it slide down to it's real resting place.
I like this about it. I also like the blackish thumb mark half way up the right side of the panel. I have no idea if this is the mark of the hand of the maker or some art-school-exhibition man-handling. It doesn't matter. The whole thing is an oddly perfect embodiment of a "30 x 30" piece.
