Research Junket #1 2012: Southbound

First research junket for 2012 was the Southbound Festival. I gathered some useful imagery of spectatorship of various kinds also whilst spectatoring too, forthwith.
"To Festival ->" sign on recycled board written in tape and thin felt pen.

There is lots of this - lens looking going on. Unfortunately the cameras which are allowed in: are not very good at documenting this at night. It looks really amazing in the dark - like everyone is holding up a lighter, except they aren't offering up a flame. They're taking documentation.

Triple Stack

Many people watching from the sides also.

A camera guy who is filming for the live screens either side of the stage.

CSS setlist. Amazing research practices.

Scanners Gone Wild

The scanner was set to "Auto Selection: Detect Separate Items". I was very confused at first and deleted all the 'separate items' because they weren't really. Then I realised the scanner was just operating with an alternate eye form and that each of its frames were perfectly disinterested abstractions, hence, mildly amusing.

Ok; the last one doesn't really count because it looks mildly like the ladder I was trying to draw.
